This has long been the case, but recently Epic resubmitted Fortnite to the Google Play Store.
The Fortnite makers in their application this month tried to get an exception to the billing agreement that is made between devs and Google.
As revealed in a post by 9to5Google, Epic had hoped Fortnite would not be subject to the typical 30 per cent in-app purchases cut for Google.
But, unfortunately for Epic Games it looks like a statement from Google has suggested Fortnite will not be getting this exception.
In a statement to 9to5Google they said: "Android enables multiple app stores and choices for developers to distribute apps.
"Google Play has a business model and billing policy that allow us to invest in our platform and tools to help developers build successful businesses while keeping users safe.
